I'll Not Contain You

As if by magic, it always works out. It's never easy, but the resolution always comes after the climax. Birds in their trees shit on the ground below. If you're lucky, they'll shit on the swingset, leaving it useless until the rain, or you forget and sit in it anyway. It's always worth it, though, when you find yourself once again waiting for the cat to die. There's a nearly imperceptible changeover when it happens. It always happens. After the long wait, or struggle, or ecstasy, or agony. Bars up, rides over, get in line for the next one and have your tickets ready.
